Hi, I'm Edin.
I am a location-independent blogger, photographer, and traveler exploring Southeast Asia.
I am 37 years old and originally from Croatia. I have a deep passion for the sun, the sea, mountains, and hiking. I have lived in the Philippines for twelve years now. Because of the incredible kindness I experience every day, I consider the Philippines my true first home.
My Story
In 2014, at the age of 26, I packed my bags and left Croatia to embark on my first solo adventure through Southeast Asia. I had no idea this trip would mark the beginning of a lifelong love affair with travel and photography.
Over the next few months, I explored vibrant cities, serene beaches, and lush mountains. I was a newbie traveler. I made mistakes, overspent, and got lost more times than I can count. Those experiences taught me invaluable lessons.
What started as a short-term adventure turned into a lifestyle. I fell in love with the warmth of the people and the cinematic beauty of Southeast Asia. Traveling taught me to embrace the unknown and find beauty in quiet moments.
What is The Lazy Traveler?
I am a loner by nature. Spending time alone in natural environments acts as therapy for me. The Lazy Traveler is my way of sharing that journey with you. It focuses on slowing down, soaking in the moment, and truly experiencing the places you visit.
Finding joy in little things matters most. I might be riding my black Suzuki Skydrive scooter along rural roads to find the perfect nostalgic photography spot, or flying my drone over a breathtaking landscape.
I have an old soul. Ancestral wisdom and history fascinate me. I cherish the quiet moments of reflection that travel brings. This blog is for anyone who believes travel means more than just a checklist.
